Impulse Capsule · capture flow redesign · batch 7
The same three-step flow, three times over. Each flow runs left to right on its own page; here the screens stack so the variants can be read column against column.
Impulse Capsule · capture flow redesign · batch 7
Tradeoff: one screen closes the capsule, so A is the shortest route through — name, then a single screen that takes place, amount and the lock. The cost is density: location, amount, twelve keys and the CTA all argue for the same screen, and a long chip row pushes the amount down.
1 ·NAME IT
Only the mic, the title and the OS keyboard — nothing else is on screen.
2 ·PRICE IT
Location sits above the amount, so one screen does both.
WHERE
AMOUNT
3 ·WHY
After LOCK IT. Idle for 5s with no typing and the screen closes itself.
LOCKED
No typing · type to keep it open
4 ·HISTORY
It lands on History by itself, the new capsule at the top of the list.
Shared by every flow: screen 1 (name), WHY and HISTORY are identical in all three variants — the only thing that moves is where location lives. The Android/iOS keyboard is the real one: it is what covers the app's keypad while you name the capsule.

Tradeoff: one question per screen — nothing ever competes for the eye, and each answer is confirmed before the next is asked. The cost is a fourth step and two extra taps: the where screen and the price screen each look bare, because neither can lean on the other for context.
1 ·NAME IT
Only the mic, the title and the OS keyboard — nothing else is on screen.
2 ·WHERE
Location on its own screen, answered with one tap.
WHERE
Used to group this capsule with the others. Nothing is shared.
3 ·PRICE IT
Amount and keypad, then the lock.

Tradeoff: the fold is shown instead of guessed — place, amount and keypad are already there, dimmed, and light up the moment the name is accepted, so the shape of the capture is never a surprise and there is no hard screen change. The cost is that dead-looking controls sit on a live screen, and the OS keyboard covers the very keypad the reveal is advertising.
1 ·NAME ITINERT
One screen, before the name: the title is lit, everything below it is dead.

1 ·NAME ITLIVE
The same screen after the name is accepted — no transition, it just lights up.

3 ·HISTORY
It lands on History by itself, the new capsule at the top of the list.
Shared by every flow: screen 1 (name), WHY and HISTORY are identical in all three variants — the only thing that moves is where location lives. The Android/iOS keyboard is the real one: it is what covers the app's keypad while you name the capsule.
How to read this: the three flows share their first screen, the WHY screen and HISTORY — only location moves, which is the whole question. FLOW A is the fastest (3 steps, one screen closes the capsule) and the densest. FLOW B is the calmest (4 steps, one question per screen) and the slowest, with two thin screens. FLOW C keeps A's speed but never hides the rest of the capture — the fold sits dimmed under the title and lights up in place. The last two screens of each flow are identical by construction, so the only thing to judge is the middle.
